The Ford Edge crossover utility vehicle is expected to be one of the stars of the 2006 North American International Auto Show in January. Edge's bold, American design will turn heads in the CUV market – the fastest-growing vehicle segment – in a year that CUV sales are expected to surpass traditional SUVs.

'Much like Fusion has done for the mid-size sedan, the new Ford Edge will inject a healthy dose of American design and personality into the hot crossover market,' says Peter Horbury, Ford's executive director of North America Design.

Edge is powered by Ford's new 3.5-liter V-6 engine and new 6-speed automatic transmission – which help deliver a dynamic driving character and impressive fuel economy. Edge goes on sale in fourth quarter 2006.

seriously, ford will not bring it in...  judging the amount of depreciation Ford car lost in the first few year, how many ppl willing to put money in this vehicles?? if ford malaysia did not see enough demand for it, they wont consider to bring it in. so, eggs first or chicken first??

I think ford should do something agressive to promote the brandname.

Guys... for are very famour in US for its Huge cars... wish all the models are here too.
Anyway, I don't think we can pay for the insurance... better still the roadtax which implemented in Malaysia so expensive for car above 2400cc

Wah.....looks really cool.
I don't know about u guys, but i find it to resemble the Volvo XC90 SUV.
It prob. has the same platform......who knows, this might just be the ESCAPE replacment model.

And....we may just have it here in Bolehland!!
