Imeng69,
Can u advice us on the mod. that you've made....the cost as well, the sunroof, the rims (the suspension), etc....very very nice la....
Thanks for the compliments. Nothing much actually, just wanted my ride to be unique, so spent more to improve the cosmetic look of the car. Bodykit was a group buy with a few other SG bros, imported from Germany. The other bros are fitted with Wolf, Stoffler and Loden kits. The same group of us also brought in the original ST rear roof spoiler for a much more sportier look compared to the original stock spoiler. All these were possible via the great help of our in-house lobang king. With shipping, spray painting and fitting, total cost for me is close to S$4k.
The sunroof comes as a standard feature for the Ghia models here, so did not specially cut up roof. But this comes with a $5K upgrade option to Ghia model during my time of purchase. So any MKII with sunroof you see in SG land are the Ghia versions. Of cos, the upgrade option is not just the sunroof. It includes other additions like electronic dual climate control for aircon, adaptive headlights, cruise control, electric driver's seats etc. Worth the $5k IMO. Bro Oyster's ride is also the Ghia version, a 4 dr sedan model.
My 18" rims were sourced locally, had posted in a separate thread in this same section. Think cost S$300+/rim. IMO, 18" rims will fill up the gaps in the wheelarches much nicer compared to 17". Tat's why I made the switch. Only set back is 18" rubbers are so much more expensive.
Suspension set up with be the next project. The 18" rims will kill the stock shocks for sure. But I am letting the stock shocks to die a natural death before changing the whole setup. Still much prefer the comfort that the stock shocks provide though. Taking my time to research and source for a bagain on this.
