For me, I think the parts Are expensive, example, the wiper cost us Rm 300+ for a set, I think for Mercedes wiper also doesn't cost us that much and the wiper blade is not lasting as well, as for my car, the wiper only last me the most a year. As for brake pad, original cost for the front brade pad is Rm 700+ I think is expenses as it is a ware and tear item and frequently change, Absober, original 1 pc cost around Rm 700 if I'm not wrong, I feel is expensive, Mercedes original use "Blistern" only cost Rm 500+ a sets. The plug will cost around Rm 68 per pc, so a sets of 4 will cost about Rm 270+ nearly Rm 280, I think if they can price it around Rm 40 / pc should be ok.
I believe if their spare parts are reasonable, then more people will buy their cars and indirectly will also mean that there is demand for the car and more accessary dealers will also product generic spare parts locally and will make the parts cheaper and also the Car re-sale value will also goes up.

i have a question. The last item in ur poll, "Parts - expensive", it contradicts to wat we always claim, ie, cost of parts are just like any other car.

Although i agree that some parts are expensive but the standard service parts are reasonable.

Dude, the wiper cost RM180. Wht model of Merc that you are talking about? Original front brake pads cost me about RM390. Same aerotwin wiper model for Mercedes is RM3++. I do agree that Ford parts are expensive, but others as well. The only problem is that we don't have option, takdak 'barang golok'...
